Since the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on Saturday, there has been a raging debate nationwide about potential neglect during Scalia’s death investigation. Obama and White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest have been in spin-mode for days, downplaying “conspiracy theories” surrounding Scalia’s death as legitimate questions continue to arise in regards to his death.

The President and his administration have also publicly admonished Republican Senators for their intentions to block any Obama nominee to replace Justice Scalia, calling them “obstructionists”. This is such hypocrisy, considering then Senator Obama’s attempt to filibuster the confirmation of President George W. Bush Supreme Court appointee Samuel Alito in 2006. For those unfamiliar with a filibuster, essentially Senator Obama tried to use a never-ending speech to obstruct the legislative progress. He was unsuccessful however, and Justice Samuel Alito was confirmed.

Pressed on these issues, Obama did not directly respond, only saying that Senators are sometimes worried about primary elections and a backlash from supporters, and, in turn, make “strategic decisions”. He also added that Alito is on the bench now, “regardless of which votes particular Senators have taken”.

Those “particular Senators” include you, Mr. President, and your actual actions in 2006 are no different than the PROPOSED actions of a Republican-controlled Senate in 2016. Oh, and by the way, the Senate is controlled by Republicans due to the fact that the American public simply does not agree with YOUR destructive policies.

If you disagree with Obama’s failed policies, call the 2 members of the U.S. Senate from your state. Request that they stand with conservative principles and block any Obama nomination for Supreme Court. The stakes are too high, and victory is within our grasp.
